Why should I donate?

In the case of free mods, donations are spontaneous, you donate to help and encourage the creator of the mod to continue adding content and updating the mod you like.

It would be great if everyone helped, but most players do not make spontaneous donations, to create a free mod I only use free assets, but a free asset is not always of good quality, in my case I try to do the best I can, and I would like to a lot of being able to use the best assets, but good assets cost a lot of money...

I don't see it that way, and I understand who doesn't agree with donated mods, and I'll try to explain here some reasons why I do donated mods.

Well, as I mentioned above, good assets cost a lot of money, yes I can create mods with free assets and I have several free mods, including donated mods are free to play in singleplayer, I like to make good mods and so I need to buy good assets (3D models).

I do not force anyone to use my mods, and anyone who does not agree with donated mods is not obliged to use them.

In some mods almost $1000 have already been spent and I can't afford this amount with my own money.

When a person makes a donation they also have support almost 24 hours a day through discord, I even help to set up dedicated servers, create mods and support takes a good part of my daily time, but I like it, I like to create and I like the contact with the players, even though I don't speak English =D

Unfortunately more than 95% of players never helped mod creators, spontaneous donations are rare, I cite an example of my mod with the most downloads, OdinShip, which adding Nexus and ThunderStore has more than 400 thousand downloads and almost 2 years of posting. .. OdinShip in this whole period only received 2 spontaneous donations, so it doesn't work to say that mods have to be free and donations have to be spontaneous. If it weren't for the donations of my donate mods I wouldn't be able to keep the mods free.

And as a last reason for me to donate mods is that I earn little from my salary, and what is left of the donations is helping me to keep my family expenses.
